Personal Verification & Road Weariness

The Florence, Kentucky "FLORENCE Y'ALL" water tower noted in the library's Artistic Water Towers feature is about 9 1/2 miles south of the Ohio River. It is on a hill top, facing north. I-75 makes a slight bend there so the tower is right in the middle of your field of vision when you are southbound out of Cincinnati.

Today we drove in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Sevierville / Pigeon Forge Tennessee is a twenty-mile long tourist trap. We by-passed Gatlinburg.
Maggie's Valley, North Carolina is a smaller scale tourist trap on the eastern edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park / Cherokee Reservation.

Saw a few signs pointing to public libraries, but did not have time to check them out. The new granddaughter beckons.
