Reports

A completion deadline for the Nebraska Learns 2.0 self-paced training exercise that goaded the inception of this blog is looming, although the site and exercises will remain for future learners. L2NE's participants's blogs show various levels of engagement with the exercises. Some people saw how some of the "Things" could expand public services, or improve internal operations. And most of the "Things" are widely used in the world at large, so librarians need to be aware of them and their implications.

Ten Trends & Technologies For 2009 highlights technologies to learn and evaluate.

google_visitors_20090126 According to Google / analytics this blog has a small readership (58 "unique visitors" in 3 weeks), and the library's web site is used modestly (898 "unique visitors" in 3 weeks).

But people do contact us by e-mail with reference questions, book requests, etc. Over the weekend, we responded to one such question by scanning some J.A. Parks sheet music & sending the scans as attachments to our reply. We also posted copies of the images to our FLICKR account.

We've figured out how to generate .pdf files of some regular statistical reports and post them on the web site.
Maybe someday something will "click" and we'll become a YouTube sensation like UNL Fresman Dan Brown.
