The J. A. Parks Music Co. distributed J. A. Parks' vocal arrangements and original compositions world-wide.
One of his early compositions -- The King of Glory -- is still in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's repertoire.
Some of J.A. Parks' songs were commercially recorded and distributed in the 'teens and 'twenties. I recently found an on-line music catalog that sells collections comprised of re-releases from 78 rpm recordings. The catalog includes a one-minute sample of J.A. Parks' arrangement of "Boys of the Old Brigade" that was recorded nearly a century ago.
The question for today is -- If J.A. Parks could make a living from York selling a product world-wide a century ago, why don't we promote York as a base of operations for today's entrepreneurs?
