The Library Director writes a monthly report to the Library Board. The following paragraph is extracted (and then expanded) from the report covering mid-November to date:
"The FLICKR account has photo sets for the "Avenue of Trees" and for some of the more striking and imaginative ornaments . There are over 150 photos between the two sets.
A song book and one sheet music title were added to the J.A. PARKS web pages, and the associated sheet music title and octavo number lists were updated accordingly. We got a big lead on how many "viable" books were kept in print when the company's base moved to Chicago.
The Friends of the Library page in the library's web site has a "slide show" populated with images from a FLICKR set.
A substantial portion of the visual material gathered for the 2005 Fred Niblo display in the hall gallery has likewise entered FLICKR.
We have started a FLICKR group called 68467 which will be devoted to significant images relating to York history and events."

I really like the idea of your 68467 Flickr group. This seems like a good way to try to engage the community!
