Friends of the Library's 5th annual "Avenue of Trees" moved in Thanksgiving weekend. Each tree is decorated in a theme meaningful to the individual or organization that entered it.

In no particular order, there are trees built around beanie baby dogs, cleaning supplies, hand tracings, owls, famous first lines, die-cut letters, paper dolls, angel figurines, coins, and old buttons.

They are a testament to varied interests and incredible imaginations. Snapshots are preserved in two "FLICKR" sets -- 2008 Avenue of Trees and Selected Ornaments.

The adventuresome can pick up a copy of the page showing some of the images on derivative, and hunt up the trees with the original decorations.
