![]() | York is a lay-over or resting point for all kinds of people making cross-county journeys to publicize causes. Last weekend, Sea To Shining Sea passed through. |
Today, Ashley Kumlien is stopping over at mid-day to avoid heat and get some work done at the library. She's running cross-country to raise awareness about Multiple Sclerosis to honor her mother.
She has the energy, determination and motivation to achieve something worthwhile with this effort, and we're happy our library can contribute by just being open, with air conditioning and wireless internet access up and running.
While our institution cannot contribute public funds to Ashley's or any other cause, we can help spread the word and pass on the stories.
Ashley's ongoing story can be found at msruntheus.com, we snapped a photo of her portable home base for those who are curious about her mode of travel.
